Former Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Tolu Odebiyi, has congratulated Solomon Olamilekan Adeola on his emergence as the consensus governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State.

In a statement dated April 14, 2026, Odebiyi described Adeola’s emergence as both “symbolic and historic,” noting that it reflects the strengthening of internal democracy within the party. He added that the development marks a significant turning point for Ogun West Senatorial District, ending what he called a long-standing political marginalization.

The former lawmaker also commended key leaders of the party for their roles in the consensus arrangement. He specifically praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to equity and unity, alongside elder statesman Olusegun Osoba, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, and former governors Gbenga Daniel and Ibikunle Amosun for guiding the process.

Odebiyi described Adeola’s emergence as “a victory for all,” particularly for the people of Ogun West, and pledged his unwavering support for the APC candidate ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

He further expressed optimism that the party would achieve resounding success at both the state and federal levels, offering prayers for divine guidance and victory in the elections.
