ABEOKUTA — The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, has decorated Yeye Olufunso Amosun as a Founding Member of the Abeokuta Polo Club in recognition of her unwavering support and commitment to the vision of the club.
The honour was bestowed on Yeye Amosun during the Abeokuta Polo Club’s first anniversary celebration and induction ceremony held in Abeokuta on Friday, July 17, 2026. The colourful event attracted traditional rulers, distinguished personalities, polo enthusiasts and members of the club.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Alake commended the contributions of the club’s founding members towards the promotion of polo and the development of sporting and social activities in Egbaland. He described the recognition as a reflection of Yeye Olufunso Amosun’s dedication to initiatives that foster unity, excellence and community development.
