Abayomi Arabambi, a member of the Ogun State campaign structure, has expressed support for the agitation for power to shift to Ogun West in the 2027 governorship election, describing it as a matter of equity, fairness and justice.
Speaking on the campaign council’s inauguration, Arabambi said the party was fully prepared for the 2027 elections, adding that the structure being unveiled would be replicated across the federation.
He said the political contest in Ogun State should not be viewed along ethnic or senatorial lines, but around the demand for fairness and an opportunity for Ogun West, particularly the Yewa people, to produce the next governor of the state.
Arabambi also pledged to mobilise members of his Ogun State Democratic Party structure to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid and work towards the party’s success in Ogun State in the 2027 elections.
