ABEOKUTA – The Ogun State Government has issued a passionate call to action for sports lovers and citizens across the state to “fill the stands” in support of the Falconets, Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team.
The Falconets are set to face off against Senegal in a high-stakes qualifier for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, scheduled to take place in Poland. The match will hold at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena on Saturday, February 7, 2026, with kickoff slated for 4:00 PM (WAT).

In a press statement released Friday, the State Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Wasiu Isiaka, emphasized the importance of home support in propelling the team to victory. The Commissioner drew parallels to the historic support given to the senior team, the Super Falcons, urging fans to bring that same energy to the junior level. The government is encouraging attendees to wear the national colors of green and white to create an intimidating atmosphere for the visiting Senegalese side.
