The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mrs. Ayoola Elegbeji, has cast her ballot in the ongoing election, expressing satisfaction with the conduct of the process.
Speaking shortly after exercising her franchise at her polling unit in Ibido, Ward 15, Elegbeji commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials for their timely arrival and smooth handling of the exercise.
She noted that the atmosphere was peaceful, with voters patiently waiting for their turn to cast their votes.
Elegbeji described the voter turnout as “massive,” stressing that the enthusiasm displayed by the electorate was a clear indication of their readiness to participate in shaping the future of governance.
She lauded the security personnel on the ground for maintaining order and ensuring that voters conducted themselves in a calm and orderly manner.
According to her, the impressive turnout is a positive sign for democratic participation in the state.
The APC candidate further urged all eligible voters who had not yet voted to come out and fulfill their civic duty, assuring them that their votes would count. She called on stakeholders and party supporters to remain law-abiding throughout the process, emphasizing that peaceful conduct would strengthen democracy.
Elegbeji expressed confidence that the APC would emerge victorious, given the massive support witnessed at the polls.
