Hon. Dr. Toyin Taiwo, the incoming Member of the House of Representatives for Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency, has pledged to mobilise grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Taiwo made the pledge on Saturday at the inauguration of the Ogun State City Boy Movement at the Ake Palace Ground, Abeokuta, where he joined Senator Yayi, political stakeholders, youth leaders, women groups and supporters from across the three senatorial districts.
He commended the leadership of President Tinubu and Senator Yayi, while describing the City Boy Movement as a platform for youth participation, purposeful leadership and grassroots development. Also present was Hon. Kamorudeen Olawale Yusuf, Personal Assistant on Special Duties to the President.
Taiwo further pledged his loyalty and support to the movement, promising to mobilise at the grassroots for Tinubu, Yayi and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
Responding, Senator Yayi appreciated Taiwo and other stakeholders for their solidarity and turnout, reiterating his commitment to youth empowerment, women inclusion, education, infrastructure and economic development. The event ended with the formal inauguration of members as ambassadors of the City Boy Movement across Ogun State.
