Ogun VIS Gets New Operations Head as Wale Ogundele Takes the Helm

A new chapter has begun at the Ogun State Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS) following the assumption of office by Engr. Wale Ogundele as the agency’s new Head of Operations, succeeding Engr. (Dr.) Taofeek Babalola.

The leadership transition is expected to further strengthen the agency’s commitment to vehicle safety standards, effective inspection procedures, and improved service delivery across Ogun State. The change of guard comes at a time when the VIS is intensifying efforts to promote roadworthiness compliance and safer road usage.

During the handover process, members of the agency paid glowing tributes to the outgoing Head of Operations, Engr. (Dr.) Babalola, applauding his dedication, professionalism, and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the Vehicle Inspection Service. His tenure was described as one marked by innovation, discipline, and a steadfast commitment to the agency’s mandate.

In his acceptance remarks, Engr. Ogundele expressed gratitude to the Ogun State Ministry of Transportation and the Director of Vehicle Inspection Service, Engr. Olugboyega Ademehin, for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessor while working collaboratively with management and staff to enhance operational performance.
