A political stakeholder in Abeokuta South, Babatunde Akinteye, has thrown his weight behind the member representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, describing him as the right choice to continue representing the constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement, Akinteye praised Afuape for what he described as his commitment to grassroots development, accessible leadership style, and dedication to responsive representation. He noted that the lawmaker has distinguished himself through visible projects, people-oriented leadership, and consistent engagement with residents of Abeokuta South.
According to him, one of Afuape’s strongest qualities is his focus on empowerment, youth inclusion, and community development. He added that the federal lawmaker has remained committed to creating opportunities for young people, supporting local initiatives, and ensuring that the interests of Abeokuta South are adequately represented at the national level.
Akinteye further stressed the need for continuity and experienced leadership, stating that ongoing development efforts in the constituency would be better sustained if Afuape is given another opportunity to serve beyond 2027. He described him as a dependable voice for the people and a leader who has continued to inspire confidence across political and social divides.
He therefore called on residents and stakeholders in Abeokuta South to support the return of Hon. Afolabi Afuape in 2027, maintaining that his continued representation would help strengthen unity, sustain development, and secure more progress for the constituency.
