Abeokuta, Ogun State – The Uplift Development Foundation has announced the 2025 edition of its flagship Free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Programme, aimed at promoting early detection and awareness in the fight against cancer.

The programme will hold on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the Telemedicine Centre, Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

According to the foundation, the initiative underscores its commitment to women’s health and community well-being, by providing free, life-saving screenings to encourage prevention and reduce cancer-related fatalities.

Founder of the Uplift Development Foundation, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, called on women across Ogun State and beyond to take advantage of the programme. She emphasized the importance of early detection in saving lives, urging participants to attend with female relatives, friends, and neighbors who could also benefit from the screening exercise.

The free cancer screening programme has over the years become a hallmark of the foundation’s health advocacy efforts, offering women access to essential medical services and raising awareness on preventive healthcare.
