The Secretary of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Ijebu-Ode, Prince Adeleke Adeyemi, has reaffirmed the leadership of Prince Otunba Adedokun Ajidagba as the authentic Olori-Ebi (head) of the family.
Prince Adeleke, who also doubles as the General Secretary of the four ruling houses that produce the Awujale of Ijebuland, made the declaration during an interactive session with journalists at his Onirungba office in Ijebu-Ode on Saturday. He stressed that Ajidagba’s leadership is fully backed by historical records, archival documents, and judicial pronouncements.
He noted that the Fusengbuwa family remains united and resolute under Ajidagba, dismissing attempts at division. According to him, indisputable records preserved at Ilenla Compound, Agunsebi, alongside government certifications and court rulings, affirm Ajidagba’s position.
Among the documents cited were an affirmation certificate from the Ijebu-Ode Local Government, a judgment delivered by Justice A.O. Asenuga of the Ijebu-Ode High Court, membership cards, letters from the Awujale of Ijebuland, official appointments from the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and endorsements from the other ruling houses.
Prince Adeleke concluded that the harmony of judicial backing, royal recognition, and government certification makes Ajidagba’s leadership legitimate and enduring. He described the Olori-Ebi as not only the present leader of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House but also the custodian of a secured legacy for generations to come.
