Wife of former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, has been honoured with the prestigious Fellowship of the Association of Professional Counsellors in Nigeria (APROCON) in recognition of her outstanding humanitarian contributions.
The Fellowship was conferred on Tuesday at the Association’s 10th Annual Conference held at Bayero University, Kano, where Mrs. Amosun, the Grand Matron of APROCON, was celebrated for her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable Nigerians through the UPLIFT Development Foundation.
The Association acknowledged the Foundation’s far-reaching interventions, which have positively impacted individuals and communities across the country, describing Mrs. Amosun as a passionate advocate for social development and humanitarian service.
Speaking after receiving the honour at the conference, themed “Innovative Intervention for Substance Use Reduction,” Mrs. Amosun expressed gratitude to APROCON for the recognition.
She reaffirmed her commitment to advancing humanitarian initiatives and supporting programmes that promote social well-being, empower vulnerable groups, and contribute to the development of communities across Nigeria.
The APROCON Fellowship is one of the Association’s highest honours, reserved for individuals who have made significant contributions to counselling, human development, and national service.
