A former chairmanship aspirant in Abeokuta South Local Government, Adeluola Daniel Babatunde, popularly known as Delu, has expressed deep appreciation to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, following his recent appointment as a Senior Special Assistant.
The announcement was made through a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi.
Delu, in his reaction, described the appointment as a great honour and a call to greater responsibility in the service of Ogun State.
He emphasized his readiness to contribute meaningfully to the administration’s efforts in advancing the state’s development agenda under the leadership of Governor Abiodun.
“I sincerely thank His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for entrusting me with this responsibility,” Delu said. “I am committed to working tirelessly in support of the Governor’s vision for a greater Ogun State.” He added that the appointment would further strengthen his resolve to serve the people of the state with integrity and dedication.
In a heartfelt gesture, Delu dedicated the appointment to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta South, as well as the loyal party supporters who have remained steadfast in their support for him over the years. “This appointment is not mine alone,” he said. “I dedicate it wholeheartedly to our leaders and party faithful in Abeokuta South. Your support and encouragement have brought us this far.”
The new appointee also acknowledged the role of unity and party discipline in achieving political progress, stating that his elevation was a testament to the strength of teamwork and collective effort within the APC family.
Our correspondent reports that Adeluola was among eleven individuals appointed as Senior Special Assistants by Governor Abiodun.
The list also includes one Special Assistant and twenty-seven liaison officers who are to serve across the twenty local government areas of Ogun State.
