Hon. Moruff Kehinde Oyebande, popularly known as AMOROS, has emerged as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the Abeokuta North State Constituency seat in the Ogun State House of Assembly ahead of the forthcoming elections.
His emergence has sparked celebrations across communities in Abeokuta North, with party members, youths, and supporters describing the development as a new dawn for the constituency.
The primary election process which produced AMOROS was described by stakeholders as peaceful, transparent, and credible, reflecting the confidence party delegates and members have in his leadership qualities and political vision.
Speaking shortly after emerging as the partyโs candidate, AMOROS expressed appreciation to party leaders, delegates, supporters, and members of the PDP for the trust reposed in him.
He stated that the victory was not a personal achievement but a collective mandate to serve the people of Abeokuta North diligently and responsibly.
According to him, his focus would be on policies and programmes that would positively impact youths, women, education, infrastructure, empowerment, and community development across the constituency.
โThis victory belongs to the people of Abeokuta North. I appreciate the love, support, and confidence shown to me. By the grace of God, I will not disappoint the good people of our constituency,โ he said.
Supporters who celebrated his emergence described him as a grassroots politician with humility, dedication, and the capacity to provide quality representation at the state assembly.
Political observers also believe his growing popularity among young people and party faithful could boost the PDPโs chances in Abeokuta North ahead of the general elections.
