Federal Commissioner representing Ogun State on the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Hon. Akeem Akintayo Amosun, has been appointed Deputy Director, Ogun Central Senatorial District, of the 74-member campaign council for the 2027 governorship bid of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.

Amosun’s appointment is coming amid renewed political activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election and is expected to strengthen the campaign’s mobilisation and coordination efforts across the Ogun Central Senatorial District.

The RMAFC Commissioner has, in recent months, been actively involved in grassroots political engagements across Abeokuta South and other parts of Ogun Central, mobilising coordinators, party members and supporters in support of the Yayi governorship project.

His political activities have also included regular engagements with community leaders, youths, party stakeholders and other grassroots actors, alongside empowerment and educational initiatives targeted at members of his political constituency.

With his new position in the campaign council, Amosun is expected to play a key role in coordinating grassroots structures and strengthening stakeholder engagement across Ogun Central as the Yayi campaign intensifies its preparations for the 2027 election.

The appointment further places Amosun among the political actors saddled with the responsibility of building support and consolidating the campaign structure for Senator Adeola, who is seeking to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun as Governor of Ogun State.
