Ilaro – Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has revealed plans to appoint the late veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo), as a ranking Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism, describing his demise as a profound loss to the creative industry and Ogun State at large.
Speaking during a condolence visit to the deceased’s family, the Ogun West lawmaker and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate pledged to immortalize the late icon and fulfill all the personal and professional dreams he left behind.
The Senator reassured the grieving family of his unwavering support, promising to stand by them at all times and ensure that the legacy of the legendary actor remains preserved.
“He was a cultural ambassador whose passion for our heritage was unmatched, and we will ensure everything he envisioned for the industry comes to fruition,” Senator Adeola stated while offering his condolences at the family residence.
During the visit, the lawmaker also expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for their swift interventions and compassionate support to the late actor throughout his illness.
He noted that the collective care demonstrated by the nation’s leadership reflected the deep respect Ogogo commanded across the country.
Senator Adeola subsequently paid his respects at the final resting place of the late actor, where he offered prayers for the repose of his soul and for fortitude for the family to bear the irreparable loss.
