The Omoluabi Movement, a prominent political force in Ogun State led by Iperu-born real estate magnate and mobiliser Armstrong ’Tope Akintunde, has congratulated the people of Iperu and Governor Dapo Abiodun on the successful hosting of the 2025 Akesan Day Festival.

Iperu, the hometown of Governor Abiodun, once again came alive as thousands of indigenes and guests gathered at the iconic Apollo Ground for yet another vibrant and memorable edition of the centuries-old cultural celebration.

In a goodwill message supervised by Hon. Olusegun Kaka, the Omoluabi Movement noted that Akesan Day has evolved beyond a local festival into a global cultural showcase—one that consistently attracts dignitaries from across Nigeria and the diaspora.

The group praised Governor Abiodun, describing him as a distinguished son of Iperu whose leadership has amplified the town’s cultural identity and strengthened its prominence within Remoland and Ogun State at large.

Movement convener Armstrong ’Tope Akintunde emphasized the unifying power of the festival, describing Akesan Day as a rallying point for Iperu indigenes worldwide.

“Akesan Day now enjoys international recognition, drawing high-profile personalities to Iperu,” Akintunde said.

“We deeply appreciate our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his unwavering support. What we witness today is the product of a shared commitment and the exemplary leadership of our indefatigable governor.”

Akintunde lauded Governor Abiodun’s governance approach, describing it as a transformative force driven by innovation and a deep understanding of both human and natural potential.

Speaking on the emergence of the Omoluabi Movement, he explained that the group symbolises more than political alignment; it represents a call to responsible leadership, civic consciousness, and people-driven development.

“As Ogun State continues to thrive under Governor Abiodun’s visionary leadership, the Omoluabi Movement will remain steadfast in shaping a future rooted in service, values, and the collective good,” he affirmed.

He also commended the dedication of the movement’s coordinator, Hon. Olusegun Kaka, and other leaders across the state for their passion and contribution to strengthening the organisation.

The 2025 Akesan Day celebration drew an impressive turnout of political leaders, traditional rulers, youth groups, community influencers, and Otunbas—all united under the leadership and support of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
