A middle-aged mother and her child were tragically crushed to death in Akure, Ondo State, today.
The accident occurred when a mini bus driver lost control due to brake failure near Okeogba junction along Agagu road.
According to eyewitnesses, the mother and child were standing by the roadside when the vehicle veered off course and struck them.
They reportedly died instantly before help could arrive.
