If he was to be alive, he would have celebrated his seventieth birthday as a legend and an ex-International who did Nigeria’s colour, green, white, green proud

El Haj Mudashiru Babatunde Tiamiyu Lawal, born on 8th June 1954 in Ibadan, Nigeria worked as an automobile mechanic before being discovered as a footballer.

He joined Shooting Stars S.C. in 1975 and played for many years, he also played for the National Team the same year.

He helped the club win the African Cup Winners Cup in 1976, making it the first time a Nigerian team would achieve this feat.

He rejoined Shooting Stars in 1989 as a player/assistant coach in his second stint.

By the time he left the world for eternity on July 6th, 1991, he was only 37
