The people of Idomila community among other communities on a road stretch that links Ilese Barracks from Ijebu Ode Stadium has called on Governor Dapo Abiodun to come to their aids as their roads Is total disrepair

The community with the population of over six hundred thousand residents while narrating their ordeal said this road has adversely affected many residents’ vehicles as they ply the route daily.

Worst hit are children who throng the road amid puddle in deep pot-holes during rainy season while going to school. It is also a known fact that motorcyclists dread the area, owing to the deplorable condition of the road.

Idomila is home to many political icons in Ijebuland such as the former National Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Elder ‘Yemi Akinwonmi, and many of the All Progressives Congress chieftains in Ijebuland and other illustrious elders in the city.

Speaking on the terrible state of the road, a lecturer at Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Ijagun, lamented the terrible condition of the road, appealing for the intervention of the state government.

Mr Kamoru Egunleti, an engineer who resides in the community equally appeal to Gov Abiodun to come to the aid of the community saying several efforts made in the past by the residents to fill the road has yielded little or no result.

“Many of our elders in this community had used their personal fund to patched this Idomila road in the time past because of the harrowing experience we usually have when using the road, the situation really is unbearable, we are all fed up.

“Without bending the truth, the current government has fixed many roads across the state particularly in Ijebu-Ode, this same government just brought 500MW capacity transformer to us; but, we are still appealing to this listening government of Prince Dapo Abiodun to please come assist in fixing this terrible Idomila road”, he appealed .
