The Ogun State-based political group, Omoluabi Movement, on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, at his palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State, to seek royal blessings and guidance ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The delegation, led by the Convener of the movement, Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde, included executive members, local government coordinators, and the State Coordinator, Hon. Olusegun Kaka. The group was warmly received by the revered monarch.

As part of activities during the visit, the movement unveiled 26 newly acquired buses to strengthen its grassroots mobilization efforts across Ogun State. The buses, according to the leadership, are aimed at enhancing political outreach and facilitating participation in major party activities, including the forthcoming national convention in Abuja.

Speaking during the visit, Akintunde described the Ooni as a father figure whose leadership qualities and character embody the true meaning of “Omoluabi.” He noted that seeking royal blessings was a significant milestone as the movement prepares for the next political phase in Ogun State and across the country.

“We visited our royal father whose character reflects the true essence of Omoluabi in every sphere of life. He was part of the idea when we started this movement. As we embark on this political journey, it is important for us to seek his royal blessings and guidance,” he said.

Akintunde reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting the second-term bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections, as well as all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who emerge from the party primaries in Ogun State.

“Our primary assignment is to mobilize massive support for our President’s re-election. We are equally committed to supporting all our party’s candidates, just as we did in the build-up to the 2023 general elections. This is a new phase for the Omoluabi Movement, and we appreciate our members and coordinators at both state and local government levels for their dedication and steadfastness,” he added.

In his remarks, the State Coordinator, Hon. Olusegun Kaka, commended the convener’s vision and leadership, emphasizing that the newly branded buses would significantly enhance grassroots mobilization across the state.

Responding, the Ooni expressed delight at receiving the group and offered prayers for unity, growth, and success in their political endeavours.

The Omoluabi Movement has continued to position itself as a fast-growing, grassroots-driven political platform committed to leadership development, community engagement, and progressive governance in Ogun State.

With structures across the local governments and a clear mobilization strategy, the movement says it remains focused on empowering citizens and promoting inclusive political participation ahead of the 2027 elections.
