The Wale Olanrewaju led Executive of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council has broken jinx of many years as it embarks on sinking of a borehole at the State Secretariat of the Union.
The historic event took place today Wednesday 31st of July, 2024 as the Council concluded and finalized the borehole drilling.
Chairman of the Union while supervising the site of the drilling within the Secretariat thanked God for the grace as he said it has been a dream come true and finally the jinx has been broken.
This is one of the projects embarked upon by the current led executive to bring back the lost glory of the Council which has been battered due to different Interests.
The Council have also been able to send far from its Secretariat girls of the night popularly known as ‘OLOSHO’ and Iwe Iroyin is now safe for all and sundry to carry out their businesses as usual.
Next on the agenda of the council is building of a public toilet and also developing a shopping mall that will befit the environment
