Seasoned broadcast journalist, a staff of Ogun State Television and a member of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun State Council, Morenikeji Sobaloju, has been honored with an excellence award by One Accord College of Health Science and Technology.
Sobaloju, who is also a former Treasurer of National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) was honored alongside other personalities in various professions.
The award was presented to her at the 2024 Lecture and Award ceremomy, held at the Conference Centre (UI Hotel), University of Ibadan by the Governing Council of One Accord College of Health Science and Technology, in conjunction with the West African University, Cotonou, Republic of Benin.
The ceremony featured a lecture by Guest Speaker, Prof. Abiodun Amuda-Kannike, a member of the Governing Council, Kwara State University, Malete, and Pioneer Dean, Faculty of Law, Kwara State University.
While receiving the award, Sobaloju dedicated the award to God for the divine grace granted unto her, her Family for being her strong support system, the ogun state television for giving her the platform to showcase herself to the world and to all her sources of inspiration including but not limited to Ogun NUJ family.
The event also recognized different individuals who have demonstrated excellence, dedication, and commitment to their respective fields.
The Ogun State Commissioner for Special Duties And Intergovernmental Affairs, Hon. Funmilayo Efuwape and the CEO IBD Hotels and Impex Nigeria Ltd, Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun in their separate congratulatory messages acknowledged Morenikeji Sobaloju’s hardwork and diligence describing the recognition as a well-deserved honour.
