The Ogun State Television (OGTV) Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has congratulated Comrade Wale Olanrewaju and his executive team on their re-election for a second term as leaders of the NUJ Ogun State Council.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chapel Chairman, Comrade Moses Ojewumi, and Secretary, Comrade Elizabeth Esan, the Chapel described Olanrewaju’s return as a clear reflection of the union’s trust in his leadership capacity, vision, and commitment to the welfare of journalists in the state.

According to the statement, the re-election is “not just a win, but a renewed call to service,” with expectations that the new tenure will strengthen unity, deepen professionalism, and drive greater development within the Ogun NUJ family.

The Chapel expressed confidence that the returned executive would continue to reposition the council for excellence while inspiring members towards higher standards of practice.

“We celebrate you today and always,” the statement read, as the Chapel reaffirmed its unwavering support for the council’s leadership.

The OGTV Chapel also urged all members, irrespective of previous affiliations, to put the union’s collective interest above personal considerations and work together for sustained progress. It further encouraged the Olanrewaju-led executive to extend an olive branch to all stakeholders in the spirit of unity and reconciliation.
