The Ogun State Government has granted a final two-week extension for property owners and occupiers affected by the ongoing physical development audit to submit their title documents.
The extension, announced on Wednesday by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Tpl. Olatunji Odunlami, is aimed at giving affected individuals and developers more time to present their planning permits or approach relevant government agencies to regularize any unapproved developments.
According to the government, the move follows appeals from property owners in Sagamu and Ijebu-Ode and reflects its commitment to transparency and due process.
Odunlami stressed, however, that the gesture should not be mistaken for a reversal of the government’s earlier actions, warning that statutory measures already taken remain in force.
He further clarified that the audit exercise in Sagamu, Ijebu-Ode, and other parts of the state is not targeted at any individual or group, but part of a sustained effort to ensure orderly and sustainable urban growth.
The government urged all affected persons to use the new deadline to comply fully, warning that failure to do so could attract necessary sanctions under existing laws
