ABEOKUTA — One of Ogun State’s foremost fashion and textile brands, Lewa Alaso Fabrics, has opened its first walk-in store at the Laderin Workers Estate, Abeokuta, marking a major milestone after 13 years of thriving online operations.

Speaking at the official opening, the Chief Executive Officer of the brand, Funmilola Itunu, described the launch as a dream fulfilled and a significant step in the company’s expansion.

“I’ve been passionate about fashion for as long as I can remember. We started about 13 years ago as an online business, but the idea of having a physical store has always been part of our vision. Now, we’re making it happen to better serve our customers,” she said.

The new store features a wide variety of premium fabrics for both men and women, including Ankara, Adire, and imported laces from China, Switzerland, and Austria.

Itunu explained that the brand’s Adire collection holds special significance, as each piece is locally produced and carefully supervised to ensure authenticity and preserve the city’s cultural identity.

“Since Abeokuta is the home of Adire, it’s only right that we promote our indigenous fabric,” she noted. “We want the world to appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of our local textiles.”

According to her, Lewa Alaso Fabrics maintains a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

“We don’t compromise on standards. Every fabric is carefully sourced, and what our customers order is exactly what they receive,” she emphasized.

Beyond expanding its market reach, the new store is also expected to create employment opportunities for young people within the community.

“Even if we start with five employees, that’s five families supported. It’s our little way of giving back,” she said.

The CEO reaffirmed that the brand’s online store remains operational, offering nationwide and international delivery.

“Our online shop runs 24 hours a day. We deliver worldwide, and we’re calling on our loyal customers and fashion lovers to keep supporting us. We’re ready to serve you even better,” she added.
