Honourable Moruf Afolabi Afuape, Member of the Federal House of Representatives for Abeokuta South, has once again taken his passion for teaching beyond politics by going back to the classroom. The lawmaker personally taught economics during his annual Summer Coaching Class.
A former lecturer and economist, Honourable Afuape said he derives joy from impacting knowledge and motivating the younger generation to pursue excellence through focus and determination.

Now in its fourth edition, the coaching program engages hundreds of students during the holiday, easing the burden on parents who cannot afford private lessons. The centers include Reverend Kuti Memorial Grammar School, Isabo, and St. Peter’s Anglican School, Ake.
The initiative also provides free exercise books and other learning materials, ensuring that students are not just taught but also supported with the tools they need to excel.
To further inspire academic performance, the best students at the end of the program receive cash incentives, a gesture that many parents and teachers have applauded.
Alongside the coaching, Honourable Afuape also inspected ongoing constituency projects such as boreholes and other community developments, reaffirming his commitment to service both inside and outside the classroom.
