Hajj 2025: Ogun Government Names Apelogun Amirul Hajj, Other Welfare Committee Members

The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Board has announced the appointment of Prince Adebayo Apelogun, National President of Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle, Tricycle Repairers and Riders Association of Nigeria, as Amirul Hajj for the 2025 pilgrimage season. This announcement was made in a statement released on Friday.

In addition to Apelogun, a total of thirteen other distinguished members have been appointed to the welfare board ad-hoc committee.

Shaekh Ishaq Olorungbebe will lead the committee as chairman, supported by notable religious leaders including Sheik Lawal Iskeel (Sugar), Sheikh Shile Rufai, Imam Sabeeq Aladi Ibrahim, Sheik Wasiu Raheem Balogun, Imam Abdul-Lateef Ismail Afolabi, TPL. Ogunfowora Kamoru Olayiwola, Alhaji Hassan Tijani, Alhaji Hussein Oredipe Mustapha, and Alhaji Uthman Akewukanwo.

Also featured on the committee are Alhaja Alarise Korede Fausat, Alhaja Egunjobi Kafilat Aderonke, and Alhaja Jinadu Zainab Iyabode.

The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Board has charged the committee members to diligently fulfill their responsibilities with a high level of commitment to ensure the comfort and safety of all pilgrims from Ogun State during their sacred journey to the Holy Land.

This initiative is part of the state government’s ongoing commitment to facilitate a smooth and successful pilgrimage experience for its residents.
