The Great Dependable Forum (G.D.F) has decorated Hon. Kayode Taiwo as Patron of the group, in a colourful and well-attended ceremony at the Recreation Centre, Ota, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The honour, according to the forum, was in recognition of Hon. Taiwo’s unwavering commitment, selfless service, and consistent support for grassroots empowerment and community development. Members described him as “a true leader and pillar of inspiration” whose contributions continue to strengthen unity and progress in society.

The event drew dignitaries, community leaders, and representatives from across Ogun State, who lauded the new Patron and pledged to uphold the ideals of the group under his guidance.

G.D.F Declares Support for Senator Yayi

Beyond the investiture, the occasion also provided a platform for the G.D.F to declare its total support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the event, the State Chairman of G.D.F, Olori Temitope Esther Solomon (Sagamu), alongside the State Secretary, Pastor Ajiboye Peter, affirmed that the group’s adoption of Senator Yayi was based on his visible welfare programmes and life-touching projects across all three senatorial districts of Ogun State.

The forum highlighted initiatives such as widows and aged support programmes, youth empowerment and employment schemes, agricultural and trade support, as well as educational intervention funds as part of Senator Yayi’s impact that align perfectly with G.D.F’s Seven-Point Mission.

2,000 Members Across Ogun State

With a membership base of over 2,000 people spread across the 20 local government areas, including farmers, artisans, small business owners, livestock farmers, and community leaders, G.D.F said its decision to back Senator Yayi followed a careful evaluation of his achievements.

The newly decorated Patron, Hon. Kayode Taiwo, expressed gratitude—not only for his own honour—but also for the genuine appreciation shown to Senator Yayi by the forum. He assured members that he would personally convey their message of support to the Senator, while encouraging them to remain steadfast in their resolve.
