The National Executive Council (NEC) of the National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS), National Body, has distanced itself from a controversial publication issued on Wednesday, 19th November 2025, claiming to represent the association’s official position.
In a statement released on Thursday, 20th November 2025, the NEC declared that the document — circulated under the authority of the National President and National P.R.O — was neither discussed nor approved by the majority of executive members. According to the Council, the publication was produced unilaterally, continuing a pattern of isolated decision-making by both officers “over several months.”
The NEC further revealed that the signature of the National General Secretary, Comr. Olaleye Yusuff O., was allegedly used without his knowledge or consent — an act the Council describes as a serious breach of leadership ethics and trust. The body is now calling on security agencies to launch a full investigation into what it terms an “unauthorized forgery and misuse” of an official signature.
Refuting claims contained in the disputed publication, the NEC stressed that no member of the national executive has received or benefitted from any government palliative. Any assertions indicating otherwise, it said, are “false, misleading, and capable of causing unnecessary public distrust.”
Reaffirming that NAOSS operates strictly under a collective leadership structure, the NEC urged the Ogun State Government, stakeholders, student leaders, and the general public to disregard the earlier publication, which it insists did not pass through constitutional procedures or involve principal officers.
The Council concluded by expressing its continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and the unity of Ogun State students nationwide.
