Education: Abiodun Appoints Best Unilag Graduates as Education Ambassadors, Awards N20M

Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has appointed Messrs Samuel Badekale and Haroun Adebakin, the best graduating students from the University of Lagos at its 55th convocation, as Education Ambassadors for the state. Each received a cheque of N10 million in recognition of their exceptional achievements.

During the reception at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun commended their remarkable Grade Point Average of 5.0, stating it reflects not only personal accomplishment but brings pride to Ogun State and the nation. He emphasized that this honor aims to inspire other students to pursue excellence.

The governor expressed his administration’s commitment to recognize individuals who contribute positively to the state, fostering motivation among younger generations. He stated, “We hope that upcoming students will see you as role models, motivating them to emulate your virtues.”

He further detailed plans for the duo to engage with students across schools, harnessing their relatable status to inspire their peers. The governor reiterated the importance of education as a pathway to success, which offers opportunities and respect.

Adebakin and Badekale expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the governor, acknowledging that their recognition signifies progress in Ogun State’s educational reforms. They encouraged other youths to remain focused on their studies, asserting the importance of achieving success through integrity.
