The Ogun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Yemi Sanusi, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting what he described as a transparent, credible and peaceful bye-election.

Addressing journalists, Sanusi applauded security agencies for maintaining law and order before, during and after the polls, while congratulating the party’s newly elected National Chairman, Prof. Newade Yiltwada, and APC leaders nationwide for their successes across various constituencies.

He further attributed the victories to the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun, particularly noting the triumph in Remo Federal Constituency, which he described as the governor’s political base.

“To every competition, there will always be a winner and a loser, but losers must learn to be good sportsmen and seek redress through legitimate means,” Sanusi said, urging opposition parties to accept the outcome in good faith.

The APC chairman also congratulated the newly elected candidate, advising her to remain humble in victory and work with all constituents as partners in nation-building.
