Amosun Turns 67 in Style

It was an epoch making event as family, Friends, associates and well wishers converged at the Ibara Housing Estate Abeokuta residence of former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, to celebrate his 67th birthday on Saturday, January 25, 2025.

Politicians, political groups and loyalists, including former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, also joined in the celebration, even though, the celebrant was not present at the venue of the event.

 

The birthday celebration kicked off with a special inter faith prayer sessions organized by Christian and Islamic leaders. .

 

In their separate sermons, Rev. Julius Ogunseye of the African Church and Imam Bashir Ibrahim of Unity Central Mosque, admonished the people not lose faith in God no matter the circumstances, urging them to emulate Senator Ibikunle Amosun who always exhibits the virtues of fear of God and love for people.

 

They also eulogised Amosun for his virtues of kindness, charity and humanitarian gesture, and prayed to God to grant him long life, good health and abundant blessings.

 

In his usual manner, Amosun also used the occasion of his birthday to share love with the less privileged in the society including inmates of the Abeokuta, Oba, Ilaro, Sagamu and Ijebu-Ode correctional centres.

 

Children of the Borstal Institutions, Adigbe the Daniel Akintonde School for the physically challenged, and the Stella Obasanjo Children’s Home, all in Abeokuta, also benefitted from the good gesture of Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

 

Bags of rice and cash gifts were distributed to the correctional centres, schools and home across the state.
