OGUN – The Head of Public Relations and Marketing at Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, Dr. Moyinoluwa Precious Ajayi, has emerged as the Best Graduating Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Student in Mass Communication at Babcock University.
Dr. Ajayi received the honour during the university’s 15th Doctoral Hooding and Convocation Ceremony held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the Babcock University Amphitheatre. In addition to earning the prestigious doctoral degree, She emerged graduate with the highest CGPA in the Department of Mass Communication (PhD), a feat that underscores her academic brilliance, dedication and commitment to excellence.
Her award-winning doctoral thesis, titled “Federal Road Safety Corps’ Festive Period Radio Campaign and Commercial Motorists’ Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Road Safety in South-West Nigeria,” examined the effectiveness of radio campaigns in promoting road safety awareness and influencing behavioural change among commercial motorists.
Colleagues and associates have described the achievement as well deserved, noting that Dr. Ajayi’s commitment to scholarship, research and professional development has continued to distinguish her in the fields of public relations, journalism and strategic communication. They expressed confidence that her academic accomplishments would further enrich media practice and communication research in Nigeria.
Speaking after the ceremony, Dr. Ajayi expressed gratitude to God, her family, mentors, supervisors and colleagues for their unwavering support throughout her doctoral journey.
