The Ogun Progressives Mandate in Diaspora has commended Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office, describing the move as a vote of confidence in the President’s reform agenda.
In a statement issued by its President, Olu Moses Soremi, the group praised President Tinubu’s leadership, noting that his administration has pursued “bold and reform-driven policies” aimed at stabilizing Nigeria’s economy and strengthening public finances. According to the group, the President’s policy direction reflects a long-term vision for sustainable growth and national prosperity.
The statement highlighted ongoing reforms in critical sectors, including infrastructure, power, and social intervention programmes. It also pointed to efforts to attract foreign direct investment, enhance local production, and support small and medium-scale enterprises as evidence of what it called a “clear and forward-looking strategy for economic diversification and job creation.”
The diaspora-based organization further lauded Governor Abiodun’s performance in Ogun State, citing improvements in infrastructure, industrial development, road connectivity, and education. It described Ogun as a leading hub for economic growth and said the governor’s endorsement of President Tinubu aligns with the broader objective of continuity and stability.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Soremi characterized the endorsement as a demonstration of unity within the ruling party.
“This collective resolve affirms our confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership capacity and reform agenda. It reflects our belief that the progress recorded must be consolidated to secure enduring national transformation. Continuity at this crucial time remains vital for stability, investor confidence, and sustainable development,” he stated.
The Ogun Progressives Mandate in Diaspora reiterated its support for policies it believes will advance Nigeria’s economic resilience, democratic governance, and inclusive development. It expressed optimism that sustained collaboration among political leaders and citizens would strengthen the country’s path toward growth and stability.
