The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Remo Federal Constituency bye-election, Hon. Bolarinwa Oluwole, has accused the Ogun State Government of obstructing him from erecting billboards and posting campaign posters.

Bolarinwa made this statement on Sunday at the NUJ Secretariat in Abeokuta, Ogun State, confidently asserting that he will win the upcoming bye-election scheduled for August 16.

He promised to refurbish old schools, provide functional boreholes, and equip dilapidated health centers across the constituency if elected.

The PDP candidate expressed concern over the deplorable condition of some health facilities and vowed to restore them to full operation.

Oluwole also recalled his quick response in supplying a transformer to a community within 24 hours, emphasizing that while he is not an executive, he can leverage his political connections to deliver meaningful projects.

He also pledged to focus on women’s empowerment and provide interest-free loans, noting that women comprise 70% of his campaign supporters.

“I am the candidate to beat. They are already in a frenzy. The governor has even changed his residence to Iperu, where he previously did not stay, all because of a ‘small boy’ like me. I am a 48-year-old man, yet he refers to me as his boy.

“Nothing can stop me from winning. Ladi Adebutu is the key figure in Remo Federal Constituency politics, and he is supporting me, taking me everywhere. Remo is the stronghold of the PDP, so I will win. Once elected, I will sponsor bills on security, education, and health,” he concluded.
