In a move aimed at strengthening internal security and enhancing operational effectiveness, the Ogun State Security Network Agency, popularly known as Amotekun Corps, has announced the commencement of training for its newly recruited personnel.
The training exercise, which follows a recently concluded recruitment process, will take place from Sunday, July 6 to Friday, July 18, 2025, at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Sagamu, with reporting time set for 8:00 a.m. daily.
According to a statement signed by the Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Alade Adedigba (rtd), GSS fdc(+) Ph.D, the training is designed to equip successful candidates with the essential knowledge, skills, and discipline required to carry out their duties effectively.
“This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to operational excellence and law enforcement effectiveness across Ogun State,” the Corps Commander stated. “We expect all shortlisted candidates to present themselves in good time and comply fully with all training requirements.”
Recruits are expected to arrive with essential items including personal hygiene supplies, training attire, writing materials, identification documents, and credentials. The full list includes:
One bucket
One broom
One cutlass
Two pairs of white round-neck T-shirts
Two pairs of white shorts
Two pairs of white sneakers
Two pairs of white socks
Two white bedsheets
Writing materials (notebooks, pens, pencils, sharpener, erasers)
Two files containing passport photographs and original & photocopies of credentials
Bank Verification Number (BVN)
National Identification Number (NIN)
The Corps also advised all recruits to cooperate fully with camp officials and abide by training protocols to ensure a smooth and productive induction process.
Brig. Gen. Adedigba congratulated the successful candidates on their selection and commended their courage and dedication to serving the people of Ogun State through the Amotekun Corps.
