In a heartfelt tribute to the late Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye, Ambassador (Dr.) Babatunde Adeyemo, CEO of Pelican Valley, has urged the Ogun State Government and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) to adopt the Oniroyin Support Initiative (OSI) as a lasting memorial to the esteemed journalist.
The OSI, which provides support for widows and children of fallen journalists, was conceived by Oladunjoye and launched shortly before his untimely passing on April 4, 2025.
Adeyemo described Oladunjoye as a passionate advocate for journalism and community welfare, emphasizing that adopting OSI would not only honor his memory but also continue his legacy of service.
At a Day of Tributes attended by friends and civil society organizations, Adeyemo pledged to support the initiative through his Oko Opo Foundation, offering the foundation’s venue for OSI activities at no cost.
Chief (Mrs.) Bola Obasanjo also highlighted Oladunjoye’s profound impact on numerous lives, particularly through his charitable efforts to assist widows. Her reflections underscore the values of service and community that defined Oladunjoye’s life.
