Prince Olawale Yusuf Adeyemi-Oriola (Esq) has extended New Year greetings to sons and daughters of Ijebuland at home and in the diaspora, expressing optimism for a year marked by peace, progress and shared prosperity.
In his goodwill message, Prince Adeyemi-Oriola described himself as a proud son of Ijebuland whose life has been shaped by strong ancestral heritage, sound education and professional service. He reaffirmed his commitment to the enduring values of Ijebu people, noting that these values are firmly rooted in tradition while remaining responsive to modern realities.
A member of the Olufadi/Obanlefa branch of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, he emphasized that effective leadership within traditional institutions must balance respect for age-long customs with the capacity to engage contemporary governance and sustainable development.
Prince Adeyemi-Oriola outlined a broad vision for Ijebuland centred on economic growth, youth empowerment, infrastructural development, the quest for Ijebu statehood, cultural promotion and unity, while respecting all religious beliefs and upholding Isese traditions.
“I wish all fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters of Ijebuland a happy and prosperous New Year. May our land continue to experience peace, progress and abundant blessings,” he said.
He also commended the Ogun State Government under Governor Dapo Abiodun for sustaining peace and stability across the state, describing the prevailing calm as a critical foundation for development and social harmony.
According to him, the peaceful atmosphere enjoyed by residents is a product of effective governance, coordination and the cooperation of the people, adding that Ijebuland, as a key part of Ogun State, continues to record steady progress under the current administration.
“Leadership is about vision, influence and the ability to inspire, not merely the exercise of authority. These qualities are clearly reflected in the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun,” he noted.
Prince Adeyemi-Oriola urged residents to remain united, patriotic and committed to the collective growth and greatness of Ijebuland and Ogun State in the year ahead, while praying for continued divine guidance and protection for the state and its people.
